"Rihanna made me feel small"

....according to Drake.

"She's just such an overwhelming and incredible person," Drake said in an interview. "And such a talented person and someone that I was like, 'I can't believe I'm here talking to this individual,' that she just gave me that feeling like when I was 17 years old trying to take Nikki Ramos, this girl from Toronto, out on a date and she never wanted to go with me. She never would go; she would have a million excuses why she couldn't talk to me. That's how [Rihanna] made me feel, she made me feel small; she made me feel nervous. It just put me back to the Acura in Toronto, feeling like Aubrey Graham, not Drake." (MTV)

Diddy Wants to "Feel Like a White Man"

Diddy wasn't shy in expressing quirky suggestions for the sound of a potential hit record. "[He was] like, 'I want the beat that makes me feel blue,'" he continues, "[That's] blue as in the color." While disco balls shined in the dimly-lit studio, the "Hello Good Morning" artist even went as far as asking for a tune with race and location in mind. "[Diddy] said to me, 'I want a beat that makes me feel like a white man in a basement in Atlanta,'" shares Alex, who's uncertain if any of the records he worked on will make the final cut of Last Train to Paris. "Diddy's hilarious." (Rap-Up)

#SUSPECT!

I can name about 20 females that recently took a pic with this same face, now 21.

LOL of the Day!

Drake: "Little Wayne is just ooooooh..."

So He DOES Have a New Ghost Writer!

The record I did for Diddy is called "Love You No More" that should be on his Last Train to Paris album this summer.

With Puff, there's one thing that I am gonna tell you. Puff is probably one of the main people that when it comes to this industry, he's probably one of my biggest, biggest inspirations just because of the way the n*gga's grinding. When you think about it, it's just blinding.

Working with him, he has this focus that's just undeniable. Whenever he wants something, he's not gonna stop until he gets it. I don't care who you are, you're moving out the way. And that's just how Puff gets down. No matter what, you gotta respect his grind and you gotta respect his intensity. Diddy's intensity is on some Obama sh*t.

You gotta respect that and let me tell y'all, the record that I gave Puff, on some real sh*t, is a monster. Puff knows that record was very close to my heart but you know, Puff is Puff man and I couldn't help but give it to him and it's featuring Drake. It's a monster, recording with Puff is great.

That's my dude, I got a lot of love for Puff and check the record out, it's stupid. I'm gonna say this about Diddy, Diddy is always a movie. He's gonna make it work, he's gonna make it do what it do. He's a monster and genius so even if the clouds look like they're green, they're gonna look blue. Shout-outs to Diddy, one love.

Sean Garrett is a rapper/songwriter/producer and has signed on to help create Diddy's Last Train to Paris album set to drop Tuesday, September 20th.

Something to Make Lil Kim "LOL"

The plaintiff, Hollywood Exotic Car Rental, claims Minaj agreed to rent a 2008 Lamborghini Murcielago -- at the rate of $1,750 a day -- to shoot her "Massive Attack" music video. But according to the suit -- filed today in L.A. County Superior Court -- the exotic car was driven "off-road" and damaged "in the approximate amount of $11,589.41." Plus, they allege, Minaj didn't pay three days rent on the car -- that's another $5,250. The rental company is suing for unpaid rental charges, property damage, and punitive damage. (TMZ)

Mr. Keeping it Gangsta'

NYPD detectives aren't sure what role, if any, the Brooklyn rapper might have played in the March killing, but a surveillance video shows Fabolous leaving Club Amazura seconds before a mystery gunman blasted Greg (G-Baby) Brown in the back. "[Fabolous] is about to get in the car as the shooting goes down," said a police source who watched the video. Police and G-Baby's relatives say the rappers - both from Bedford-Stuyvesant - had a longstanding beef, though a source said they'd put it behind them. "My son was going to talk to Fab in a car, and he got shot three times," grieving mother Roxanne Brown said. "I don't know what's going on. I just want to know who killed my son." Talib Kweli Defends Slim Thug's Controversial Remarks about Black Women

Rapper Talib Kweli recently commented on Slim Thug's remarks stating "I think the people that are really angry are people who are taking the comments out of context and they're not really reading the whole blog. And when the commenters are reading it, they're really looking to see what's wrong with it anyway. Somebody hit me online and said what they got from it is he hates them and I didn't get that. What I got from the blog is here's a man who's confused about relationships and that wants to support the black family and that wants to see black relationships doing good. And at the end of the day when you take out all the generalizations, he's really saying that black men and black women have to have better communication and respect each other more. He's calling everyone to task." (VIBE)

More on Chamillionaire

According to Chamillionaire’s live broadcast on Ustream last night (June 9), rumors of his financial demise have been greatly exaggerated. The Houston-based rapper known for such hits as “Ridin’ Dirty,” “Turn It Up” and “Hip-Hop Police” addressed the reports concerning his alleged lack of fiscal responsibility sparked by the recent TMZ story on his foreclosed $2 million home.

Cham recently lost his 7,583 square foot home after falling behind on several payments. Koopa disclosed in his telecast online that he decided to let the house go because it had become a bad real estate investment. He and his financial advisor went to his bank to refinance the house, but the bank would not budge. After considering surrounding circumstances such as his mother dealing with cancer and numerous medical bills associated with that and the recent birth of son, Xavier, Cham chose to let the house go to foreclosure.

“The name Xavier means ‘new house,’” Cham said. “So I took that as a sign that I was doing the right thing.”

As for the knots in his pockets, the Grammy Award-winning MC assured fans that he’s not hurting for stacks. “Me and Universal have a 50/50 deal,” Cham said. “I make what they make. My last album Ultimate Victory wasn’t as successful as my debut album but I made money because I paid everything out of my own pocket and went back to Universal and got reimbursed for that. I kept the cost low.”

The normally very private rapper also added that he has family and people that depend on him, so his concerns lean towards being more responsible with his financial choices rather than how they make him appear in the public light. “My mother has cancer and she was looking at my house and my lifestyle and was afraid to come to me about money for medical bills,” Cham said on the Madd Hatta Morning show. “And I’m like, don’t do that. Whatever bills you have come to me about it. I had to ask myself was keeping a house that was not worth all the money I’d been paying on it worth more than my mother or my son? So that’s the decision I made. I gotta make sure I make good moves.” —Maurice Bobb

"Rihanna used me," states Drake

On "Fireworks" there's a verse about Rihanna, who asked him last year to write a song for her new album; the two soon began seeing each other regularly, though they never publicly confirmed their brief relationship. "I was a pawn," Drake said. The song he wrote for her never got released. "You know what she was doing to me? She was doing exactly what I've done to so many women throughout my life, which is show them quality time, then disappear," he said. "I was like, wow, this feels terrible." (New York Times)

50's "2 Cents" on Lil Kim vs. Nicki Minaj

"I think it's other things irritating Kim outside of Nicki Minaj, just having momentum of new artists doesn't offend artists that have established themselves long before that," Fif said in an interview with radio personality Lady La. "It's obvious that she was inspired by some of Kim's [rhymes], but that's not bad. And it's not a whole lot of female artists that you can make reference to so you'll see those little influences even stronger and I think she's hot, she's got a good little thing going on right now as far as Nicki Minaj is concerned. I think it's probably a little more irritating to see Puffy standing next to Nicki and for him to say that Ross reminds him of Biggie, because that's desperation on his part because his music sucks right now. It's the truth. It's bad, so he's gotta try and stay next to something else that has some momentum for him to be all right -- from a business perspective, it seems like a cool move but not a cool move for hip-hop." (Power 98)

Cash Money's Newest Member?

More details to come but recently, Sean Garrett's been doing an awful amount of work for & with the label.

The Powers of the Illumi....na, just joking!

Rick Ross has his eye on a new collaboration, but this time, it’s not with another artist. Instead, hip-hop’s biggest boss wants to work with the boss of real estate, Donald Trump.

“I would love to work with Donald Trump,” Ross revealed to Rap-Up.com during a recent visit to Trump’s home turf of New York City.

The “Super High” MC and the billionaire tycoon both share one thing in common: their love for the mean green. “I’m pretty sure there are some ventures we could attack. There’s some money out there for us to get.”While he hasn’t met The Donald yet, he has seen him fire and hire employees on NBC’s hit show “The Apprentice.” “I just love what Don represents,” added Ross.
“Ridin’ out here in New York, you look over and see so much of his real estate. It’s just a good thing.”

The Teflon Don, who own his own Miami property, has plans to venture further into real estate and Trump would be the perfect business partner. “I’ve been dabbling in that for a few years now, so most definitely. Tell him to get at me.”

Before...After (Slim Thug)

Before $$...

After $$...

"My girl is Black and White. I guess the half White in her is where she still cooks and do all the sh*t that I say, so we make it. She just takes care of me and I like that. She don't be begging and I don't gotta buy her all this crazy a** sh*t...White women treat they man like a king and Black women feel like they ain't gotta do that sh*t. Black women need to stand by their man more. Don't always put the pressure of if I'm f*cking with you, you gotta buy me this and that. Black men are the ones that motherf*ckers need [but] I think a lot of them need to step it up too. A Black man who gets a little bread will go make it rain in the club and be broke the next day or instead of him going to invest in a business he gonna go buy new jewelry or a new car and still live in the hood. Black peoples' mentality is real f*cked up in general [and] it's affecting everything...Black women need to be more genuine and be more 50/50 [but] It should be a fair exchange in a relationship period or eventually somebody is gonna feel like they're getting f*cked over whether it's the woman or the man. I think that will help Black relationships out a lot." (VIBE)

Mooore from Kim

Lil Kim to Diddy: "you need to be ashamed of your f*ckin' self!"

More from Kim

"I'm so far above this, I did this 10 years ago. They can have this shit. We gon give 'em new shit, better shit, more than this fake, corny shit that's going on."

Just My Thoughts

Her-Story in the Making

New York rapper Lil Kim has taken her issues with Nicki Minaj to the next level by calling out the Young Money emcee's manager, Diddy.

Rapping at a concert in Baltimore, Maryland over the weekend, Kim let out a verbal diss toward Puff.

Kim continued her anti-Nicki campaign at Sonar Nightclub in Baltimore last night and this time, she added her soon-to-be manager, Puff into the mix. Around the :27 mark of "It's All About The Benjamins" performance, the Queen Bee says "Ay, Puffy should be ashamed of his f*ckin' self!". Kim later brought out B-More's Keys The Problem to spit her Nicki diss freestyle. The saga continues. (Rap Radar)

Hot Boys Reunion, Maybe?

Former Cash Money Records artist Juvenile recently said Lil Wayne's current incarceration has further delayed the Hot Boys reunion.

Juvie says that a reunion is not possible until all original Hot Boys members are present.

"I really want to do that," Juvie said about a reunion. "You know if it were left up to Juvie we would do it right now man, But you cant do no Hot Boys songs without everyone present and that's the thing you got to have everyone present to make it work. I just need the information so I can write him. I've been need to get an address so I can write him." (All Hip Hop)

Kat Stacks' Ex-Manager Calls Groupie Out, "If She Gets Caught, She Could Get Deported For 10 Years

According to her ex-manager Will Daniels:

"I don't know how she hasn't been busted yet because she's all over the Internet. She's still on parole from her gun charge," Daniels said in an interview. "If she gets caught, she could get deported [to Venezuela] for 10 years...We were booking her on 10-15 events per month and we were working on getting her on the Dr. Phil Show, a reality TV show, and in [magazines]. We wanted to market her as a personality but for her to miss out on money is ridiculous. She's somebody that just can't get it together. It's ridiculous to be like, 'I'm Kat Stacks and I f*ck all these rappers and expose them,' where's that gonna take you? That shows me she's in the same mind frame she was in when she was prostituting...I feel bad about the whole situation. I would like to help but you can't help someone who doesn't want to help themselves." (VIBE)

Chamillionaire Follow-up

Chamillionaire's foreclosure problem is just one financial woe facing the Houston rapper. Turns out the hip-hop star owes the IRS more than $184,000 in delinquent federal income taxes, according to public records. The IRS filed a $184,692 lien against Chamillionaire (real name Hakeem Seriki) and his wife, Deetra, on Nov. 23 with the Montgomery County (Texas) Clerk. According to the lien, they owe income taxes from 2007. (Detroit News)

ROUND TWO!

In this corner we have a female rapper that rode the back of one of rap's all time greats. Along with her, a soft singer that would run if anything were to pop off.

The opponents: same description!

Just My Thoughts

Soooo, all of a sudden Drake's album is leaked. Is this a marketing ploy executed by Lil Wayne to increase or decrease Drizzy's album sales?

A few years ago, Lil Wayne's faced a similar situation with the release of his The Carter III album; it debuted at number one on the US Billboard 200 chart, selling 1,005,545 copies in its first week.
With this in mind, it would seem like a good idea to follow this approach.

On the contrary, it's a well-known fact that Lil Wayne doesn't want any artist on his label to be 'bigger' than he is. (read my blog on Jay-Z been out-rapped by Kanye West on Run This Town) A few years ago, rapper Curren$y's album was constantly pushed back and as a result he left the label.

Who knows why it happens, I guess we'll stay tuned to see if Drake can sell a milli too!

Gary Coleman's Wife Fires Back at "Smile" Critics

We get that whole Diff'rent Strokes for different folks. But maybe a little perspective is needed, too.

A rep for Gary Coleman's ex-wife, Shannon Price, is lashing out at critics who say that a photograph of a grinning Price taken the day after the former child star's increasingly mysterious death insinuates something sinister behind her decision to remove Coleman from life support.

"That day it took Shannon two hours before she could stop throwing up and walk to the front room with her bed pan and sit down in the chair," Price's spokeswoman and friend, Shielia Erickson, tells E! News. "Once she started talking about Gary she was happy. How she loved to talk about the good times they had."

The last few days, however, have been far from good times for Price.

Gary's onetime missus, who had his permission to make health-care decisions on his behalf, showed off her pearly whites on May 29, posing for a picture with Erickson, an agent who worked with both Gary and Price.

That photo instantly found its way to sites like TMZ, which played up her beaming countenance.

But Erickson says Price was far from happy when the photo was snapped.

"This picture was taken right after she spoke of her love for Gary, and she was hugging me, her second mom," she says. "She was in a lot of pain that day, and makeup hides a lot."

Price did the sit-down to dispel chatter that she may have had something to do with Coleman's death. She also talked about all the money the Diff'rent Strokes star spent on her and how she had none left to pay for his funeral set for Saturday in Utah.

The funeral is now in doubt, as Coleman's long-estranged parents are making a bid to have his body transported back to his native Illinois.

Even in death the poor guy can't catch a break. So much for resting in peace.

Chamillionaire Forecloses on Houston Mansion

Chamillionaire has become the latest rapper to experience the effects of the recession. The Houston native says he decided to foreclose on his 7,583 square foot mansion he purchased in 2006 for $2 million dollars after realizing the home was a bad investment.

In an impromptu interview with TMZ, Chamillionaire born Hakeem Seriki explained that the house became worth nothing after the real estate market went bad so he decided to let it go.

"I bought a house in Houston. I have multiple mortgages some for me some for other people. This house actually was my most expensive mortgage and I decided to let that house go because the house ended up being worth nothing. When the market went down the house went down did too and it was worth nothing," he said.

"I paid like close to $2 million dollars for that house and I decided to just let it go, give it back to the bank. It wasn't a situation where they came and it took it from me. I felt like I didn't want to pay that much money a month for a house that I'm was never at. I was never at the house I was always on the road touring."

After foreclosing on a $2 million dollar home, Chamillionaire says he's doing ok and that he has no financial problems. "I'm still Chamillionaire, when I'm Chathousandire y'all will have a real story," he added.

Watch Chamillionaire talk about foreclosing on his home after the jump.

Lil' Kim Disses Wig-Wearing Nicki Minaj?

We knew it was just a matter of time before Lil Kim made reference to Nicki Minaj. Even though the jab was subliminal, during a recent performance in Buffalo, New York, Kim made reference to Minaj biting her wig-wearing style.

While rapping a verse from her 1997 single 'Crush on You,' Lil Kim abruptly pulled off her blonde wig and declared that she was over it. "I'm going to another level," she told the crowd. "I love the wigs and everything but I'm so above this. I'm so above this ... I'll be back!"

Since gaining popularity for her colorful wigs and clever flow, Minaj has been garnering several comparisons to Lil Kim who was known for rocking a similar look. In a possible response to Lil Kim, the 25-year-old, who also just wrapped up an appearance in Buffalo, posted an interesting message on her Twitter page Thursday (June 3). "Raise ya hand if u don't have 2 diss ppl to feel better about urself," she wrote. "Jealousy is a disease. It kills @ a fast pace. Kisses 2 my bad b----es."

Although Minaj has yet to call out Lil Kim specifically, the Queens native credits several female rappers as her inspiration of how not to be. "The female rappers of my day spoke about sex a lot," she told Vibe Magazine. "I thought that to have the success they got, I would have to represent the same thing. When in fact I didn't have to represent the same thing."

Minaj's debut is set to drop later this year, while Kim is also said to be working on new music.

Very Creative, Juvie!

Marion Jones fails to make impact on WNBA debut for Tulsa Shock

Marion Jones made an undistinguished start to her new basketball career, failing to make any impact as her new WNBA team Tulsa Shock were beaten at home in their first match in Oklahoma.

The former sprinting superstar, making her return to professional sport for the first time since being released from prison after serving a six-month sentence for lying about her drugs use, only had just over three minutes of court time as the Shock were beaten 80-74 by Minnesota Lynx.

The return of Jones to the sport she played brilliantly at college for North Carolina attracted a sell-out crowd but she incurred a foul after just three seconds on court and it proved her only statistical contribution in three minutes and 19 seconds of action.

"Certainly after being away from the sport for so long and how much the game has changed and improved, there are going to be some bumps in the road," Jones conceded afterwards.
